Workshop evaluation

Asking participants about their experience of the workshop provides important learning for facilitators, and time for reflection for participants. It is important for contact to be maintained with participants, if stories are being used in an external forum storytellers should receive feedback on how, and what kind of feedback viewers are giving.

Trainers/facilitators can meet after the workshop to conduct an after action review – answering the questions: what did we intend to achieve? what worked? What didn’t work? What would we do differently? Consider a follow-up evaluation a few months after the workshop. Creating a list-serve if participants have email addresses, can help create a community of support for post-workshop communications.
